Thankful for Our Teachers

Thankful for Our Teachers

We did a little poll around the office asking our staff and students for their memories of their favorite teacher! You’d be amazed how remembering those who’ve inspired us and touched our lives cause our faces to light up and the stories to pour out! What better time to ask this question than at Thanksgiving? We’d like to share a few of our favorite memories:

Mrs. Nelson because I had her in first grade. -Zach

My 8th grade science teacher Mr. Gavin. I never enjoyed science and he made it more enjoyable. -Joel

My favorite teacher is Mr. Eric because he is very patient and sometimes interesting.

Mr. Kandra from Severna Park High School. He taught history – and it was NEVER boring! – Michelle

I like my teacher named Mrs. Duda because the homework that she gives is fun homework.

I have TWO! My first is Mrs. Lustman who taught elementary school gifted and talented. She found a way to incorporate creativity within the curriculum and made each class unique and fun. I also loved Mr. McGrath who taught Calculus. He would not let you go until he was sure you actually understood the concept. You couldn’t just show the work, you had to prove you understood it –Amy

Mrs. Weiss because she is nice, kind, and helpful. -Connor

My favorite teacher was Professor Jane Edwards. She taught me that it was possible to combine history with philosophy and was the reason I chose to double major! She cared about her students and was an encouraging force in my life. –Jonathan

My favorite teachers are Mrs. Bingham because she is nice and makes learning fun, and Mrs. DeLeonibus because she’s nice and we made food creatures together. -Hannah

Ms. Zeller taught 3rd grade Science. She loved it and it made me love it too! – Garrett

Mr. Steimsa was my favorite teacher. He taught high school English. With his encouragement, I finally learned how to write a stellar essay. – Priscilla
